We want Gladstone Youth Basketball sport to be be an excellent vehicle for the teaching of principles and attitudes that can have life long carryover value. It is important to this organization that each youth that participates, has an opportunity to develop skills that will help them become successful in life. Additionally, this organization would like to develop the potential of each participant as a basketball player. To accomplish this, each player must first be introduced to the proper fundamentals of the game, and then must have a positive experience which will motivate them to practice and improve their fundamentals.

• To teach our youth the fundamentals of basketball.
• To teach attitudes of good sportsmanship and respect.
• To help each participant develop a healthy self image and to promote fair competition.
• To allow our youth a positive experience in a team sport. Teamwork and camaraderie will be emphasized.
• To create as many teams as possible and give all participants an opportunity to develop their skills.
